In response to market needs and inquiries and the widely introduced Safe and sustainable by-design approach, QSAR Lab is pleased to offer you a new service: Alternative Substance Identification and Substitutes.
This service is aimed at companies seeking alternative substances for currently used chemical compounds, facing challenges accessing chemical raw materials or preparing alternative formulations for base products. Reasons for seeking alternative substances may include economic and logistical considerations, as well as the safety of the chemical substance.
Based on the structure of the currently used substance, the research team at QSAR Lab will conduct a detailed chemoinformatics analysis and identify alternative substances with appropriate toxicological, ecotoxicological, and physicochemical parameters.
The offered service of alternative substance identification and substitutes encompasses three stages:
- Identification of the substance for which substitutes are sought. Determination of its chemical structure and its role in the ongoing process. Indication of key physicochemical, toxicological, and ecotoxicological parameters.
- Search available databases of registered chemical substances to find an alternative chemical substance. Modern algorithms and tools make identifying candidates for substituting the base substance more efficient and faster.
- Prepare a report indicating a list of alternative substances for further verification based on economic criteria.
